Anna's Schnitzel Stube Wien
About This Spot
Stepping into Anna's Schnitzel Stube Wien feels like slipping into a small, familiar neighborhood spot that balances the warmth of a family kitchen with the hustle that comes from city life. Tucked along Laudongasse in the heart of Vienna's 8th district, this modest eatery maintains a quiet charm amid the steady flow of locals grabbing a quick, satisfying meal or strolling past with a comforting parcel of takeout in hand.
The pace here is unpretentious yet lively, inviting you to take a moment and appreciate how the kitchen pulses with close-knit, personal care. Behind the counter, the cook’s steady hands prepare each schnitzel fresh, crafting a variety that feels both rooted in Viennese tradition and delightfully generous in spirit. There’s a distinct ease in the atmosphere — where hearty portions meet approachable prices and the welcoming nods from staff make you feel part of a shared, timeless rhythm.
While the menu is anchored by the classic Wiener schnitzel, the experience extends beyond the plate. Side dishes like homemade potato salad and crispy fries are more than mere accompaniments — they carry a comforting homemade quality. For a touch of sweetness, house-made Palatschinken with Nutella or marmalade offers a simple yet satisfying way to round off the meal. Whether you choose to sit inside, soaking up the modest but cozy family-run ambiance, or enjoy the street view from a handful of outdoor seats, the place hums with an authenticity that speaks to local habits and honest food pleasures.
In a city often abuzz with grand dining experiences and fast-paced eateries, Anna’s holds space for those who seek something quietly rewarding: good schnitzel, served with warmth, and a welcome that lingers even after the last bite. It’s the kind of spot where casual visits feel like a small, shared moment with Vienna itself.

We had the best Schnitzel in Vienna in this restaurant. They have a lot of variety, absolutely delicious, amazing prize and the people there are so lovely. I recommend this restaurant 100%, so so worth it and it’s the best Schnitzel you will find in the city, we enjoyed it so much

A small family restaurant, ideal for a quick bite to eat if you're in a hurry and at a good price. The cook prepares all the dishes in front of you, and they have a wide variety, but their specialty is the Viennese chicken.

Very good food, fast and friendly service. Outdoor and indoor seating (I visited in September). Clearly a passionate family business. Great portion sizes and fantastic value.

I was there a few hours ago. Excellent schnitzel. Huge portions. Delicious salad given by the owner. The place is surrounded by the family atmosphere. I highly recommend this place! Greetings from Poland

Because of a FB recommendation I went there with my brother. Small shop with the possibility to sit outside. Waiting time was around 15 minutes but ok. The size of the food was very generous, my brother couldn't finish all. The "Schnitzel" was really very nice and good- 1 A! Totally recommendation. I had a salad as side dish and it was a bit boring in taste.

It was worth to have a little walk from strict city center to eat this schnitzel! Small family place filled with kindness and joy of cooking for people. Delicious think and well fried schnitzel, very tasty potato salad and sweet treat from owner - tiramisu. Thank you for a nice conversation and very tasty dinner!

The best affordable schnitzel in Vienna. Small, family-run place, simple with just a few tables, clean, and very friendly. The produce is breaded on the spot and fried right before your eyes thanks to the open kitchen. If you want a good schnitzel at a fair price, stop by. Remember, If you come in The evening they close at 8:30 PM.

Came in before closing. They spoke English. Got the best schnitzel I've ever had and it was massive. Don't skip the potato salad too, its spectacular. 10/10. Perfect.
